RENOWNED JOURNALIST NORAH O’DONNELL AND TONY-NOMINATED BROADWAY STAR CHRISTOPHER JACKSON TO HEADLINE 2018 TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN’S DAY
HARTFORD, Conn., June 4, 2018 – The Travelers Championship today announced details for its 10th annual Women’s Day, taking place Thursday, June 21, at TPC River Highlands. The day includes a special networking breakfast program featuring renowned journalist Norah O’Donnell and Tony-nominated “Hamilton” star Christopher Jackson. Proceeds generated by the breakfast will benefit tournament charities, including The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, which serves children with serious illnesses.
Tickets for the Women’s Day Breakfast typically sell out quickly and include general admission to the tournament. They will go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 8 at www.TravelersChampionship.com.

Norah O’Donnell is the co-host of “CBS This Morning” and also contributes to “60 Minutes.” She has conducted interviews with President Donald Trump, President Barack Obama, His Royal Highness Prince Harry, Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai and the Dalai Lama. O’Donnell earned a Gracie Award and was named best national news on-air talent for 2018 and 2016. She received the Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Newscast of 2017 and has covered some of the biggest national news stories during her career, including the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, the Boston Marathon bombing and Hurricane Harvey. O’Donnell is a board member of the International Women’s Media Foundation.
Christopher Jackson is best known for starring as George Washington in the original cast of “Hamilton,” earning a Tony Award nomination. Other Broadway appearances have been in “Holler If Ya Hear Me,” “After Midnight,” “The Bronx Bombers,” “In the Heights,” “Memphis” and “The Lion King.” Jackson can currently be seen in the CBS drama “Bull,” playing the character of Chunk. He won a Grammy Award for his song with Will.I.Am called “”What I Am,” and earned an Emmy Award for his work as the composer/songwriter for “Sesame Street.”
The Travelers Championship will take place June 18–24, featuring a week’s worth of special events and some of the world’s top golfers, including defending champion Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day, Paul Casey, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson, Bryson DeChambeau, Charley Hoffman, Zach Johnson, Jim Furyk and others.
