KEEGAN BRADLEY WINS AND COMMITS TO THE TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP
KEEGAN BRADLEY EARNS FIRST FIRST PGA TOUR VICTORY AT THE HP BYRON NELSON CHAMPIONSHIP
CROMWELL, Conn., May 29, 2011 – New England’s own Keegan Bradley earned his first PGA TOUR victory today and committed to play in his first Travelers Championship next month. Bradley shot a final round 70 and then faced Ryan Palmer in a sudden death playoff. Bradley got up and down for par on the first playoff hole to win the HP Byron Nelson Championship.
Keegan Bradley earned his first victory in just his 16th career start on the PGA TOUR. Bradley earned $1.17 million with the victory and moved to 20th place in the 2011 FedExCup standings, plus a trip to Augusta National next year. Bradley has three top ten finishes this year, including a tie for seventh at the Bob Hope Classic and a tie for ninth at the Valero Texas Open.
Bradley joins Travelers Championship early commitments Bubba Watson, Jhonattan Vegas, Lucas Glover, David Toms as the fifth player to earn a PGA TOUR victory this year. The Travelers Championship is the PGA TOUR’s only early summer stop in the Northeast and will be held June 20 – 26, 2011, at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
