GRAHAM DeLAET WINS $10,000 FOR CHARITY FROM TRAVELERS AT THE UMBRELLA AT 15 ½ CHALLENGE
CROMWELL, Conn., June 24, 2015 – Twenty-two of 88 players participating in a rain-shortened practice round for the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands landed a ball on The Umbrella at 15 ½, the 40-foot wide, 15-foot long floating green shaped in the form of the Travelers red umbrella logo. It was all part of the sixth annual 15 ½ Charity Challenge presented by Travelers.
Travelers will donate $10,000 to the Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation, on behalf of Graham DeLaet, the PGA TOUR pro who recorded the closest shot to the pin at two inches, beating Patrick Rodgers by 28 inches. The mission of the Graham and Ruby DeLaet Foundation is improving the health and wellness of children, as well as supporting the development of junior golfers at all stages. Its main initiative is the annual Graham Slam charity event that the DaLaet’s host at their home province of Saskatchewan.
