FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY AT TPC RIVER HIGHLANDS
CROMWELL, Conn., June 21, 2011- Tuesday marked day two of the 2011 Travelers Championship, which was highlighted by Farmington Bank Fan and Family Day. With the help of the Connecticut Section PGA, fans of all ages were treated to an array of clinics and fun activities.
PGA professional Eric Eshleman put on a demonstration for kids, utilizing special trick shots, while pro Suzy Whaley held a pair of tutorial sessions for all spectators.
Later in the day, 36 junior golfers took part in the Golf Digest Junior Pro-Am. Players ranging from ages 11-to-17 played a scramble on the front nine at TPC River Highlands alongside TOUR professionals. The event concluded with a reception for the players and their families in the Patriots’ Outpost.
