Tournament now includes 9 of the top 15 players in the Official World Golf Ranking

HARTFORD, Conn., June 15, 2022 – The Travelers Championship today announced that Tony Finau and Keegan Bradley have committed to play in the 2022 tournament. Finau and Bradley have each won multiple times on the PGA TOUR, and they have combined for 17 appearances at TPC River Highlands.

“Tony and Keegan have been playing some great golf this year, so adding them to our player field is wonderful news for the tournament,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “Our fans want to see the best golfers in the world. Not only do Tony and Keegan fit into that category, but they’ve been consistent supporters of our event, which we always appreciate.”

Tony Finau is a two-time PGA TOUR winner who is coming off a second-place finish at the RBC Canadian Open, which matches his best finish of the season. He also tied for second at the Mexico Open. Finau won THE NORTHERN TRUST in 2021, his second career win on the PGA TOUR; he also won the Puerto Rico Open in 2016. Finau is No. 15 in this week’s Official World Golf Ranking, has been a member of the past two United States Ryder Cup teams, and played in the Presidents Cup the last time it was held in 2019. This will be his seventh appearance at the Travelers Championship.

Keegan Bradley has five top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR this season, including a tie for second at the Wells Fargo Championship and a fifth-place finish at THE PLAYERS Championship. Bradley is a four-time TOUR winner: He won twice in 2011 – including the PGA Championship for his first major title – on the way to being named PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year. Bradley also won the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational in 2012 and the BMW Championship in 2018. He made his Travelers Championship debut in 2011 and has played every year since, finishing in a tie for second in 2019.

“Tony and Keegan have both been regular supporters of our event, and we can’t wait to welcome them back next week,” said Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Travelers. “It might feel like a home game to Keegan with his ties to New England, but our fans have also embraced Tony and all of the world’s best players that we see every June. It will be great to see the world-class competition of the PGA TOUR on full display once again at TPC River Highlands.”

Finau and Bradley join a loaded tournament field, which includes four of the top five players in the Official World Golf Ranking, six of the top 10 and 12 of the top 20. Without a crowd size restriction for the first time in two years, tickets are going quickly and multiple hospitality venues have sold out on select tournament dates.
