THE TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP ANNOUNCES
2016 VOLUNTEER EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
HARTFORD, Conn., July 5, 2016 – The Travelers Championship today announced the 69 members of this year’s Volunteer Executive Committee. This group of leaders works throughout the year preparing for Connecticut’s premier PGA TOUR event and is responsible for managing nearly 4,000 volunteers. To enhance the fan, player, sponsor and volunteer experience, five new committees were created this year, including Concert Series, Operations, Ticket Services, Tournament Analytics and Volunteer Services, making a total of 31 volunteer committees.
“The Volunteer Executive Committee members are vital to the success of our event,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “They set the tone for the thousands of people who give their time to help the Travelers Championship run smoothly. Their year-round support enables us to generate more money for charities in this region.”
Hartford HealthCare has been actively involved in enhancing the volunteer experience and will be the tournament’s Volunteer Sponsor for the seventh year.
