SPORT CELEBRITIES COMMIT TO PRO-AM

SMITH, BELICHICK, FLUTIE, CALHOUN AND EDSALL HIGHLIGHT ADDITIONAL CELEBRITIES

HARTFORD, Conn., June 16, 2010– The Travelers Championship today announced nine additional celebrities that will play in the Travelers Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday, June 23. The Pro-Am will feature Baseball Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie, New England Patriot’s Head Coach Bill Belichick and UConn Head Coaches Jim Calhoun and Randy Edsall at TPC River Highlands.  Also, participating will be actors John O’Hurley, James Naughton, Rob Morrow and UConn Associate Head Coaches George Blaney and Chris Dailey.

The Travelers Celebrity Pro-Am is a featured event of the Travelers Championship and will be held at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. on Wednesday, June 23, with tee times from 6:50 a.m. – 8:50 a.m. in the morning and 11:50 a.m.-1:50 p.m. in the early afternoon.

The Travelers Celebrity Pro-Am is just one featured event of a dynamic tournament week at the Travelers Championship, which will also include Military Appreciation presented by Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Farmington Bank Fan and Family Day, Golf Digest Junior Pro-Am, Women’s Day presented by Travelers, Michelob ULTRA 19th Hole Concert Series on Friday and Saturday night and the Subway Fan Zone, which will feature the new Farmington Bank Kids Zone, Chalone wine garden, dining areas and more.
