HARTFORD, Conn., May 17, 2011- The Travelers Championship announced six additional player commitments to the 2011 player field including Ian Poulter, Rickie Fowler, David Toms, Ricky Barnes, Corey Pavin and Trevor Immelman. The announcement came during media day festivities at TPC River Highlands, which included a press conference with defending champion Bubba Watson who has already committed to the 2011 Travelers Championship.

“We are thrilled to announce another wave of early commitments and add these tremendous six professionals to our field for 2011,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “It’s great to see both the players who continue to have our event on their calendar, as well as players coming here for the first time.”

Ian Poulter will be making his first-ever appearance to the Travelers Championship this year. Currently 22nd in the Official World Golf Rankings, the Englishman has 11 total career wins internationally including one PGA TOUR title at the 2010 Accenture Match Play Championship.
