HARTFORD, Conn., April 2, 2015 – The Travelers Championship today announced three top-ranked players – Sergio Garcia, Brandt Snedeker, and Hunter Mahan – have committed to play in the 2015 Travelers Championship. The tournament field now features three of the top eight players in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR), and three of the top 10 in the FedExCup Rankings. These players join Bubba Watson, Jason Day, and reigning champion Kevin Streelman.

“We’re thrilled that Sergio, Brandt, and Hunter will participate in the 2015 Travelers Championship,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “Many top players are adding our event to their schedule, and we are excited to continue building a strong field for the fans to enjoy.”

Sergio Garcia is currently holding the No. 8 spot in the OWGR. Garcia has played quite well at TPC River Highlands in the past, having finished tied for second at last year’s tournament. Throughout his storied career, Garcia has amassed eight PGA TOUR victories, 13 second-place finishes, and more than 80 top-10 finishes. He has a second-place finish and two top-10 finishes in five events thus far this season. This will be Garcia’s fourth appearance at the Travelers Championship.

2012 FedExCup Champion Brandt Snedeker is currently No. 8 in the FedExCup and No. 35 in the OWGR. He has four top-10 finishes, including a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, in the 11 events he’s played this year. Snedeker capitalized on a strong start in 2012 carrying the momentum through the season to win the FedExCup title. This will be his fifth appearance at the Travelers Championship, where his best finish was a T11 last year.

2007 Travelers Championship winner Hunter Mahan is currently ranked No. 32 in the OWGR. He will be making his 14th appearance at TPC River Highlands, where he has routinely dominated over the years. Mahan claimed his first victory on the PGA TOUR in Connecticut, tied for second twice, and has seven top-25 finishes at TPC River Highlands. Mahan has grown into one of the game’s best talents since his 2007 tournament win, earning six career TOUR wins and 53 top-10 finishes. He has made the cut in all eight events he’s played in this year and has a third place finish at the Frys.com Open.

The Travelers Championship will take place from June 22 to 28 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, and tickets are on sale now.
