HARTFORD, Conn., June 17, 2016 – The Travelers Championship today announced that Patrick Reed, Charley Hoffman, Marc Leishman and Padraig Harrington have committed to play the 2016 tournament, which is scheduled for August 1–7.

“This talented group of players adds to the depth of tremendous golfers already committed to playing this year’s event,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “Patrick, Charley, Marc and Padraig bring a wealth of experience, with wins across the globe, and we may easily see one of them at the top of the leaderboard in Connecticut.”

Patrick Reed is one of the young stars on the PGA TOUR, with four wins earning him nearly $13 million. This year is proving to be an outstanding one for Reed, who is currently No. 11 in the OWGR and No. 6 in the FedExCup rankings, thanks to nine top-10 and two second-place finishes in just 17 events. Since turning pro in 2011, Reed has been a fixture at the Travelers Championship — this will be his fifth straight appearance at TPC River Highlands.

Charley Hoffman will look to continue his strong 2016 season with his seventh appearance at TPC River Highlands. He has played well in Connecticut and tied for second at the 2012 Travelers Championship. This year, Hoffman has a victory at the Valero Texas Open, has six top-25 finishes and is No. 36 in the OWGR and No. 23 in the FedExCup rankings.

The 2012 Travelers Championship winner, Marc Leishman, will make his sixth appearance in Cromwell. Currently No. 40 in the OWGR, Leishman has 24 top-10 and 54 top-25 finishes over his 10-plus year career. Many of those high finishes have come in majors, as he tied for fourth at the 2013 Masters Tournament, tied for fifth at the 2014 Open Championship and tied for second at the 2015 Open Championship.

With three majors (2007 Open Championship, 2008 Open Championship, 2008 PGA Championship) under his belt, Padraig Harrington is one of the most accomplished players on the TOUR. He has six career PGA TOUR victories and has 14 wins on the European Tour. This will be his seventh appearance at the Travelers Championship.
