PATRICK CANTLAY, KEEGAN BRADLEY COMMIT TO 2021 TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP

HARTFORD, Conn., June 2, 2021 – The Travelers Championship today announced that Patrick Cantlay and Keegan Bradley have committed to play in the 2021 tournament. Cantlay is a three-time PGA TOUR winner and made history at the event in 2011 by shooting the lowest round ever for an amateur, while Bradley is a major champion and four-time TOUR winner.

“We’re adding two more great players to our field with Patrick and Keegan,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “They both have a long history here and a large number of fans who will be cheering them on at TPC River Highlands this year.”

Patrick Cantlay won most recently in October 2020 at the ZOZO CHAMPIONSHIP @ SHERWOOD. He also won in 2019 at the Memorial, and in 2017 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. While playing in the 2011 Travelers Championship on a sponsor exemption as a 19-year-old, Cantlay shot a 60 at TPC River Highlands, still the lowest score by an amateur in PGA TOUR history. He tied for 24th that year, and his best finish in six starts at the Travelers Championship was T11 in 2020. Cantlay is No. 15 in the current Official World Golf Ranking.

Keegan Bradley is a New England native, born in Vermont and a graduate of Hopkinton High School in Massachusetts. He will be making his 11th consecutive appearance in the Travelers Championship, where he tied for second in 2019. As a PGA TOUR rookie in 2011, Bradley won the PGA Championship for his first major title. He had his first TOUR victory earlier that season at the Byron Nelson Championship, then added wins at the Bridgestone Invitational in 2012 and the BMW Championship in 2018. Bradley also played on the 2012 and 2014 U.S. Ryder Cup teams and competed in the 2013 Presidents Cup.

“What Patrick did at the Travelers Championship in 2011 is unforgettable, and Keegan has played in the tournament for 10 straight years – I can’t wait to welcome both of them back,” said Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Travelers. “They’re PGA TOUR winners with a track record of success in Connecticut, so they’ll definitely be two players to watch.”

Cantlay and Bradley join Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Paul Casey, Marc Leishman, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and defending champion Dustin Johnson in the field for the 2021 Travelers Championship, which will be held June 21-27 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut.
