HARTFORD, Conn., May 29, 2019 – The Travelers Championship today announced that Louis Oosthuizen, Kevin Kisner and Keegan Bradley have committed to play in this year’s tournament. The trio has combined for eight PGA TOUR victories and two major championships.
“It will be great to welcome Louis, Kevin and Keegan back to TPC River Highlands,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “They are all playing well this season and will be fantastic additions to our player field, which keeps getting better.”
Louis Oosthuizen won the 2010 Open Championship, one of his 14 professional victories. Seven of those have come on the European Tour, and he’s also won six times in his native South Africa, including the 2018 South African Open. In addition to his seven-stroke Open Championship win at St. Andrews, Oosthuizen has runner-up finishes in each of the other majors: He lost a playoff to Bubba Watson at the 2012 Masters, tied for second at the 2015 U.S. Open and tied for second at the 2017 PGA Championship. Ranked No. 20 in the world, Oosthuizen has three top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR this season and has played in the past three Presidents Cups on the International Team. This will be his fifth start at TPC River Highlands.
Kevin Kisner won the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play title this season, one of three victories in his PGA TOUR career. He also won the RSM Classic in 2016 and the Dean & Deluca Invitational in 2017. Dating to last season, Kisner has made the cut in 17 of his past 20 stroke-play starts on TOUR. His best finish in a major championship came at the Open Championship last year, when he tied for second. Kisner has played in the Travelers Championship twice before, in 2011 and 2012. He represented the United States at the 2017 Presidents Cup and is No. 27 in the current Official World Golf Ranking.
Keegan Bradley joined an exclusive club when he won the first time he played in a major championship. It came at the 2011 PGA Championship during Bradley’s rookie season on the PGA TOUR. Bradley won twice in 2011, earning TOUR Rookie of the Year honors. He has added victories at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational in 2012 and the BMW Championship last year. Bradley has two top-10 finishes this year and is No. 35 in the Official World Golf Ranking. The Vermont native played in the Ryder Cup in 2012 and 2014, and the Presidents Cup in 2013. His best finish in eight Travelers Championship starts is a T8 in 2017.
