HARTFORD, Conn., May 11, 2022 – The Travelers Championship today announced that Harold Varner III has committed to play in the 2022 tournament. Varner has two tournament victories in his career and three top-10 finishes on the PGA TOUR this season.

Varner tied for third at the RBC Heritage, tied for fourth in New Orleans and tied for sixth at THE PLAYERS Championship, his best PGA TOUR finishes this year. Varner’s best finish of his TOUR career came at the 2021 RBC Heritage, when he tied for second. He has two international victories: This February at the PIF Saudi International, and in 2016 at the Australian PGA Championship.
This will be Varner’s sixth straight appearance at TPC River Highlands. He is currently No. 36 in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Varner joins a player field that includes Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele, Brooks Koepka, Bubba Watson, defending champion Harris English and many other top PGA TOUR professionals.
