FURYK, OGILVY, O’HAIR JOIN THE MIX

TRAVELERS CHAMPIONSHIP ADDS 2010 FEDEXCUP CHAMPION JIM FURYK ALONG WITH GEOFF OGILVY AND SEAN O’HAIR TO THE 2011 PLAYER FIELD

CROMWELL, Conn., June 15, 2011- 2010 FedExCup Champion and former U.S. Open winner Jim Furyk has committed to the Travelers Championship, along with 2006 U.S. Open winner Geoff Ogilvy and three-time PGA TOUR winner Sean O’Hair. The tournament will be held next week, June 20-26, at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.

“We are extremely excited to welcome Jim, Geoff and Sean back to TPC River Highlands,” said Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube. “All three players will play for the first time since Travelers became our title sponsor and we’re thrilled about the strength of our field this year.”

Currently ranked 19th in the Official World Golf Rankings, Jim Furyk had a career year in 2010. He earned three victories on the PGA TOUR including the Transitions Championship, The Heritage and The TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola. In addition to his victories, he became the 2010 PGA TOUR FedExCup champion. Furyk will be making his fourth trip to Cromwell next week, with his best finish coming in 2000, when he finished fourth.

After a 10-year hiatus, Geoff Ogilvy will return to the Travelers Championship. Owner of seven PGA titles, including the 2006 U.S. Open, the South Australia native is currently ranked 32nd in the Official World Golf Rankings. Through nine events in 2011, Ogilvy has finished in the top-25 five times, including a tie for fourth at The Masters Tournament.

Sean O’Hair will make his second trip to TPC River Highlands and first since 2006. Tournament commitments Sean O’Hair, Hunter Mahan, Anthony Kim and Nick Watney are four of six PGA TOUR players currently under the age of 30 to have at least three PGA TOUR victories. In 2011, O’Hair has three top-25 finishes, including a tie for 16th at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
