WATSON WINS FOR A SECOND TIME

BUBBA WATSON EARNED HIS SECOND CAREER PGA TOUR VICTORY AT TORREY PINES

HARTFORD, Conn., January 30, 2011 – Bubba Watson won his second PGA TOUR victory at Torrey Pines with a final round 67 to earn a one-shot victory over Phil Mickelson. Watson got up-and-down for birdie from the green-side bunker on the 72nd hole to win the 2011 Farmers Insurance Open.

The 32-year-old Watson started the day one-shot back and finished at 16-under, 272. Watson had six birdies and only one bogey during his final round. He finished 13-under for the week on the par-5s, plus led the event in total driving distance at 316.6 yards.

Watson won the 2010 Travelers Championship, was a member of the 2010 United States Ryder Cup team and finished 8th in the 2010 FedExCup regular season standings. He had a career season last year and continues his success in 2011, earning a victory in just his third start of the season.

“The win means a lot,” said Bubba Watson after the round. “Every win is special, because you just don’t know if you’re going to have them again or not. I’m probably going to cry all day, just like the last time in Hartford.”

Watson earned $1.044 million and 500 FedExCup points with the victory. His win jumped him from 66th place to sole possession of second place in the current 2011 FedExCup standings. In addition to his victory, Watson currently leads the 2011 Kodak Challenge by one-shot with a 4-under par total through three holes.

The Travelers Championship is one of Connecticut’s premier annual sporting events and is the PGA TOUR’s only early summer stop in the Northeast, which will be played June 20 – 26, 2011 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.
