BlumShapiro 5K for Charity

Each summer, the Travelers Championship, Connecticut’s legendary PGA TOUR event, brings Connecticut residents an opportunity to be part of the action at an exciting professional sporting event, while giving back to the community at the same time, as 100% of net proceeds of the tournament are contributed to local charities. In 2013, you can get into the spirit of the Travelers Championship by participating in the BlumShapiro 5K at the Travelers Championship!

Join runners, walkers and plenty of golf fans by participating in the BlumShapiro 5K at the Travelers Championship, to be held along the Cromwell roads that line the fairways and greens of TPC River Highlands and the spectacular practice facility. When the race is done, you can keep the action going! All participants will be given one ticket valid for any one day admission to the 2013 Travelers Championship!

New for 2013!

Runners can choose any charity of their choice for $10 of their registration fee to support.
Charities will benefit from a pool $7,000, to be broken up in the following way:

Charities that sign up the most runners:

1st Place: $2,000

2nd Place: $1,000

3rd Place: $500

Charities that raise the most amount of money:

1st Place: $2,000

2nd Place: $1,000

3rd Place: $500
